This is pretty simple providing you dont have no oddball setup but its pretty easy to get TS working on linux, and it runs the best on ubuntu because it will save your mixer settings after reboot and overall sound is just better. On the latest versions of ubuntu teamspeak will work right out of the box but there is really no way to adjust your sound card settings. So here goes:
Open synaptic package manager and search for alsa, make sure you have alsa base, and then check alsamixergui. and alsa-utils. Install all of that and your ts will work unless you have some oddball hardware setup in that case, better check the docs. Just go to goteamspeak.com download the Linux version, untar it and cd in the folder and run ./setup.sh and that’s it.
Start up your teamspeak, open alsamixergui make sure mic boost is on, your pcm, etc; You may have to play with it a lil while to get it working just like you want it.
And that’s it, if you can’t figure this one out then maybe consider going back to windows eh?

Thanks, this really helped.
I had a heck of a time installing it.
I tried forever to get it working in linux and then just got a TeamSpeak cheap at http://www.darkstarllc.com/ It was easier than messing with my sound card.
