Scum Bot-herder Bites the Dust!

I’m glad to say I have finally got the botnet owned by a turk lamer named CeeK shut down. I got the server his ircd was on and his domain shut down within an hour of each other. So he no doubt lost his entire botnet. About 30 minutes after everything was shut down the attacks on my client finally stopped. So this goes to show the idiot had to be sitting there these 6 days issuing the attack command every hour or two.

What I dont get is it had no visual effect on the site, not even a lag. The only effect from his attack was filling my iptables rules up with ip bans causing bandmin not to work correctly and it probably slowed network traffic down by a few milliseconds. yet the idiot had sit there and issued attack commands for 6 days. The only thing I could think of is he is that stupid or he was trying to flood with his own ip as well and getting banned so when he tried the site and got timed out he thought it was down. But most likely he is just a stupid uneducated idiot with way too much free time.

This time he picked the wrong server to screw with. usually I do not pursue bot herders as they try to attack a day or tow then give up if it doesn’t work. But this guy was very persistent. I have no idea what was going on through his stupid head. But anyway, that is the end of his 3000 bot botnet. Sure he can buy a new domain and start another net but if he attacks any of my servers I will do the same exact thing. Hopefully the idiot CeeK will run across this article, get pissed and try this all over. I assure that botnets will be shut down and domains terminated.

So Im just celebrating a lil bit after a hectic week of dealing with this idiot. Please overlook my rants
