Found a good network in Amsterdam, I figured we would try to offer offshore hosting and see how it goes. The terms are a lot more lenient then any US based network so some people may find it useful

Got a new computer recently, came with an GeForce 8400 GS 512 MB and I had some problems getting it setup using basic ubuntu packages, nvidia installer, etc;. I had read that since it was a newer card and wasnt totally compatible with the ubuntu packages. But in all seriousness I had most likely done something wrong and could not find the proper info or similar situations.
So I came up on this godsend script, got my nvidia/opengl stuff working and am now playing the new linux compatible games like urbanterror. the script name is Envy, you can find it HERE
I have also setup an urbanterror server and am currently looking for other noobs to play with since I havent played online games for years and even then did not much. Its real cool that there are some nice games coming for linux.
For more info on the urban terror server and coming, practicing, and learning the game come to irc.efnet.org #sst and we will setup a time to go play around

We use open source and free software everyday, lots of us use it for our business to make money, lots use it for our desktops, softwares, etc. I think that we have taken for granted the work involved in keeping software free, I know I have. So I figured I’d write a post to remind everyone to help out a lil bit.
I have now changed my donation page to suggest 2 of my favorite open source software providers that if you use this site, you probably use these softwares. Configserver and CentOS. I know there are more but for now lets start with those
Configserver is the one I want to focus on more at this time. I figure centos already gets tons of donations so if you can only donate to one donate to configserver. They make some awesome scripts that are being used everyday by probably thousands of servers. It wouldnt hurt to shoot them about $5-10 a month if you are using their software for your profitable business.
Centos donation page is a bit funny, Im afraid they would get pissed if you send less then their suggested amounts so I may just change that one lol.
But anyway, for real, if you are using open source software for your profitable business no reason not to shoot them a few bucks.
