I got me a new computer the other day. I decided to switch to Intel after I figured out that the mobo on my amd machine would only go up to athlon 6400. I was using a 5600 so that would not have made much a difference.
Anyway, check out my new rig. It has been a pure pain in the ass with blue screens and the damn graphics card idles at 130 degrees,
Specs
XFX nForce 680i LT SLI Socket 775 Motherboard
Intel Quad Core Kentsfield 2.4Ghz Q6600 CPU
4 x1gb corsair xms2 ram
Ultra Chilltec CPU cooler
XFX Geforce 8800 GT Alpha Dog Edition GPU
Phillips litescribe dvd/cd burner
ANd a bunch of other stuff probably not worth mentioning. All in all I ended up spending around 1k and still only have what is considered a mid range pc, having gamng pcs sure is expensive.
I am selling my old AMD pc HERE
